A Stone Partners szerdán közölte, hogy a Samsung Display várhatóan 52,2 millió rugalmas OLED panelt fog szállítani az idei év első negyedévében, ami a teljes panel 56,5 százalékát teszi ki. A Boe 20,2 millió táblagépet szállított, 21,8 százalékos piaci részesedéssel; Az LG Display viszont 9,3 millió darabot szállított le, és várhatóan 10,1 százalékos piaci részesedéssel fog rendelkezni.
Samsung display's flexible OLED market share remains the largest, but it is unlikely to occupy more than 60 percent of the mobile flexible OLED market in the future.
Samsung's Display market share fell 3.8 percentage points in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, as BOE and LG Display increased their supply of OLED panels for Apple's iPhone from last year, reducing their share.
But Samsung Display's share of the flexible OLED market fell below 50 percent in the second quarter of last year.
In response, Stone Partners said Samsung Display attributed the decline in OLED market share to "LG Display and BOE increasing panel supply for Apple's iPhone, as well as sluggish high-end smartphone sales from Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi."
As shown in the chart, BOE's market share in the flexible OLED field has changed significantly since the second quarter of last year and exceeded 20 percent in the first quarter of this year, narrowing the gap with Samsung Display. The main reason is that OLED was successfully supplied to iPhone 13 last year.
Huaxing supplies 5.1 million flexible OLED panels, ranking fourth in the industry after LG Display. Huaxing supplies panels to Xiaomi, Huawei and Honor. Notably, China Star Optoelectronics and BOE also supply panels for Samsung's smartphones.
A Vincino és a Tianma az 5., illetve a 6. helyet foglalja el a rugalmas OLED piaci részesedését tekintve.
